JUNIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We are reinventing athlete aerodynamics by integrating wind-tunnel technology directly into bicycles and other sports equipment. Our team is growing fast, and we need a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to support with the Design, Calibration, and Testing of our Systems.
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop our existing Calibration Process by working alongside our Mechatronics Engineer to create an automated standard for our high-performance load cells. 

  • Through Data Analysis and Design, improve efficiencies in current calibration processes.

  • Conduct and refine various installation processes

  • Hands-on performance testing of our unique products and in house validation together with external field testing – Wind Tunnels, Velodromes, and other Aerodynamic Testing Facilities.

  • We offer a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with Elite Athletes and the necessary associated travel. 

  • Conduct Design and Development work under the guidance of Senior Engineers to meet Customers' and the Company's expectations.

  • Using your Skillset, become familiar with Company Product Lines, Design Principles, Manufacturing Techniques, and best practices to deliver an economic and robust design.

 
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Sports Engineering, or a similar discipline.

  • Experience in 2D and 3D design, such as SolidWorks and FMEA Analysis.

  • Basic understanding and experience of Data Analysis/Visualisation (Python, Excel).

  • Passion for Cycling/Sports and the Industry.

  • Good technical problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, effective communication and interpersonal skills, with strong team spirit.

  • Experience with mechanical design and control systems.

  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage time.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • The desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business on high value, technically complex products/projects

  • The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK.
